Dear Cynthia:

Nice to meet you. I do recommend the books. The series is very good and, I
think, really captured the spirit of the novels. Reading the books as well
should only enhance your enjoyment. I haven't been a member of this group for
long but I understand the fourth book in the series (which wasn't filmed for the
TV show and which was written and published a little while after the first
three) is a bit of a 'controversial' subject amongst KM Peyton fans, esp. those
who came to the novels via the series (rather than the other way around)
